A powerful track you shouldn't miss from emerging singer-songwriter Courtney Wolfe.

Last Call” is the latest single released by emerging singer-songwriter Courtney Wolfe. This powerful track is full of honesty and emotion. A mix of shame and anger takes centre stage as the lyrics deal with past relationships and struggles with alcoholism.

Despite detailing these personal experiences, in the end, it feels like a victory, with Courtney acknowledging her responsibility and taking control of her future for the better.

“Reflecting on my past relationships and behaviours is what inspired me to write ‘Last Call.’ I was fed up with myself and wrote the song as a reminder to get and stay sober.”

This track is a slight departure from Courtney’s previous folk-pop feel on 2024 single “Hide and Seek,” yet a continuation of her journey as a talented musician and storyteller who you should definitely keep your eye on.

Q&A with Courtney:

Q: “What was the writing/recording process like? What was most challenging? What was the most rewarding?”

A: “I went to a Charlotte Cardin concert in Toronto, and her sound inspired the vibe of this song. I remember writing it in an Airbnb when I was feeling excited and also overwhelmed about sobriety. It was challenging to write about a dark time in my life and relive some of those moments, but also very rewarding to write about how I’m choosing to never relive those moments again.”

Q: “What do you hope listeners take away?”

A: “I hope that listeners are able to know that they are not alone in any struggles they are facing. If any listener is struggling with feeling ashamed of choices they have made or any addictions they may be going through, I hope that 'Last Call' can be the song they turn to to turn things around for the better.”
